And!

I stupidly ordered the wrong one. I ordered the one with a 1/4 plug.

So I was wondering what exactly I should be looking for in terms of getting an adapter? I've seen so many different types that it confuses me

Am I supposed to look for a 1/4" female to 1/8" male stereo adapter?

Some are $2. Some are $20. Do prices reflect quality of the adapter? Or am I safe in terms of keeping SQ if I just go to a Radio Shack (Actually, The Source--I'm in Canada) and getting one?

Oof. If you were in the US i'd just say return it for under 5 bucks for the right one. But for the cost of shipping you can just get a Grado 1/4-1/8 adapter. Yes, female 1/4, 1/8 male stereo.

what you ordered was an ADAPTER for the 1/8" plug

so don't worry about it

I went with the Radio Shack connector 1/4" -> 1/8" male and the 1/8" connector end is a little thicker than it should be. It doesn't go into my amps very easily. My friend had the same problem with his as well. Just letting you know.

Nope. Sadly--I only wish I ordered that instead.

lol, now I gotta search for an adapter x_x I can't believe how badly this 1-day wait is killing me (as i've never heard any phones close to audiophile as of yet)

you could always cut the end off and out a 1/8" plug on there..

I wouldn't want to mess anything up. I'm not a very hands on person at all and I'm too paranoid to even attempt to mod the foamies let alone cut the plug and add a 1/8" @@;;

Keep the pads stock then, and order some HD414 pads from sennheiser. They're quite cheap, and work well reversed with the "quarter mod", only problem some people have is that they're bright yellow, you can always dye them though.
There's some pointless stuff that could have been found with a search.. but it probably took me less time to type than it would have for you to find the right pages.

Just get an adapter. Anything that atleast looks somewhat professionally made and fits tightly enough should go, its not like the adapters are rocket-science-devices or anything.

The standard one's that look like this put entirely too much stress on the 1/8" jacks, so much so that a light tug up or down can break your jack fairly easily (I've done it before with my onboard):

Yes, get one with a pigtail, I've almost broken a jack because of that before too.

To Customers outside of the USA:
This dealer has restricted international shipments. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to ship this product anywhere outside of the United States. We apologize for the inconvenience; please visit the dealer's website to find a distributor in your area.

I guess that site excludes Canada?
D:

Are there any other sites that anyone can recommend? I don't know how trustworthy ''googling'' a site to buy them from would be.
