...and I have to say it sounds absolutely fantastic. My music sounds soo much better than my laptop's onboard, even with cheapo buds! Now, anyone know what settings to use to get the full potential out of the device?

The menu for it has a couple different options, like 16-bit and 24-bit, and I'm not sure which one is considered better. Which of those should I use?

i have an older computer and use 16 bit in out only with medium latency and it works fine. sounds great, has low noise floor even using the um2 which reveal noise out of anything.

if your music is 16 bit why choose 24? it will still come out 16 bit for 16 music and 24 if it is 24. the only thing i noticed that was a difference was with latency. the lower the better i reckon.

vinnie from red wine audio used to do mods to this machine but i think does not anymore. it was a 200$ job and from what i understand, becomes hi-fi, but loses the 'transit' aspect as it requires a mains power.

enjoy the transit, very worth-while little machine
