First-time poster: I've seen a lot of discussions about the Alien Ears G16, so I thought I'd share about the G12s I got today. I bought them in translucent beige. I'll use them mostly in church and playing around town. In fact, it was through a drummer at my church that I heard about Alien Ears. Another friend had suggested 64 Audio. They each swear by theirs. So after much deliberation, I decided to go with the one that didn't make me go to the audiologist... lol

When I called Alien Ears last month, I spoke with a guy named Andre who was very helpful. He asked me about the types of things I played and I explained that I play bass, but also piano & acoustic. I thought it was cool that he didn't push me into his most expensive pair of monitors. He suggested the G12s, as a more balanced option. So I ordered them.

The at-home impressions kit was pretty simple & kinda fun. After returning the impressions, total time was about 3 weeks before I had IEMs in hand. They came in a nice, hard-plastic case and included my impressions and an extra braided wire.

I've had single-driver Shures and have used one-size-fits-all Westones, but I've never had custom IEMs. These fit very well. I was surprised at just how exact they were in my ears. It'll probably take a bit of getting used to. The sound is good and nicely balanced (I've only listened to Spotify on my phone), but they were very clear at low volumes, which is what I was looking for.

Overall, good price and quick service.

Since they were the less expensive option, I'll be sure to update if there are any long-term issues. Out of the box, they seem decent.
