Hello,
I just got my ER4P this afternoon. I live in Hong Kong and I bought it from ebay new in the box. I have no proble in using it. I don't know if I get a good seal but all the outside sound have been blocked. Very easy to wear do not feel uncomfortable. I have no problem about the so called microphonic noise which is not disturbing at all. I need not to use the shirt clip. No problem at all. I am now driving it with the headphone ject of my mini hifi. The sound is so far so good but not excellent compared with my well broken in HD600. It is however better than the MX500 & E888. Maybe, I need some time to break it in or the limitation of the mini hi-fi headphone jack. I will try it using my MG-head later.
Unfortunately, will not test it by my main amp -the Consonance Cyber 30 2A3 SET - owing to nioise problem in one channel. It was very quite but getting noisy in one channel recently. It would probably caused by a faulty component in the noisy channel and I will try to fix it this week-end.
By the way, I have the following questions:
1. The box (the paper outer box but not the storage case) clearly indicate it as ER4P. However, there is no indication concernig its model no on the phone (i.e. 4P or 4s or 4B). I am concerned about if there would be a mistake in packing. Any comment. How can you distinguish the 4P fromn the 4S.
2. Although the storage case has a factory seal label, there is no warranty card insider the storage case. Is it normal? How can the factory check the warranty period?.
Ah the piano sound very nice now (I am hearing it now). May be, I can compare it with my well broken in HD600 using a good amp and source + the 4S (to be DIY by myself) latter.
