Hey guys just got a creative soundblaster Z I was wondering a few things what settings or profiles should i use for fps games, should i use any of the encoding in the software? Is the scout feature any good? Is there a way I can test all these settings and compare them? So far I like fatal1ty and FPS mode but Im not sure what one I like more, and I keep trying to throw in scout mode to see if it works honestly I cant really tell. Thanks again.

using a Magni 2 currently not using my Modi 2 (because I dont have to, Is it beneficial for me to use it or no).

If your Modi 2 is USB, it will completely bypass your sound card.

I have no experience with the Soundblaster Z's surround features. But these things are often about personal preference. Might as well experiment and see what you like :)

I'm assuming the Modi 2 is USB only (so it will not work with a sound card).
It's a little safer to disable the motherboard's on-board audio, in the BIOS, when installing an add-on internal sound card.
Do you have the Magni 2 connected to the SB-Z's headphone or Front Speaker jack?
The Front speaker jack does not offer any headphone surround sound, but should be slightly better at feeding an analog audio signal to an external amplifier.
But I'm assuming the Magni 2 is connected to the SB-Z's headphone jack.
