just bought bowlpads for my sr60s.WOW!

I compared the sound of my sr60s to a friends sr80s.neither she nor i could tell the difference.my sr60s now sound clearer with better bass,detail and soundstage and yes they are comfortable.probably due to my small ears.

I thought the bowls with my ears and the 60's made brittle the MR and marks in the low band seemed flat/thin...the flats worked well for me and my 60's...but some detest that combo.. Each set of ears is different and succomb to different pererences..I will try mine again this weekend though for safe measures and see if there was some magic there I was missing like

What is bowlpad ? can I made it myself to my SR60 , my SR60 just stand about 1 day.

Here's a link to the Grado bowl pads at TTVJ.com. The photo in the product listing isn't the best.

Alternatively, take a look at the photo of the SR225 at Grado Labs to see how the SR60 would look with the bowl pads. SR225 and SR60 look practically identical so the photo should give you a good idea.

are you sure not hurting ear in the center ?, ear will go in in the center because my ear is small ?

A couple of people have mentioned that their ears are small and they do fall into the center and hit the screen.

My ears are small too. So is my head! My height adjusters are set almost all the way to the smallest size. I had problems with the flatter Senns HD414s modded with the largest hole oriented normally, allowing my ears to hit the drivers screen. But not a problem reversed. I have no problems with the bowls though.

Guess we can't find out til we try.

I've heard a number of folks comment that adding bowl pads to their SR-60s made them sound more like the more expensive SR-80s. There are a number of different pads available that work great! It all depends on the sound type and comfort level you are looking for!

...and it seems that they all sound different to different people!!
