Just bought an MG Head MkIII DT/OTL

and am wondering if my DT-880's will work well with these, or should I consider getting some HD-650's.

you should be fine with it, the dt880 is a bright headphone and this amp will add some warmth. Also tube roll will make a big difference in sound.

Okay, thanks. I do know about tube rolling this amp, in fact I have a gem of a 12AX7 variant stashed away just for this time.

But I am reading now the MG Head has a reputation for sounding really good with Senns... but still looking for complements on the synergy with DT-880's...

I got the amp yesterday and love the sound. Great amp, if a bit creamy. With my tubes the dt880's sound slightly brighter than I'm used to but it's still very nice.
