hi,
i recently acquired v-moda m-100's however they were from a 3rd party source (i know i know) for $150+ open box
upon registration of the product on v-moda's site i received no issues, and upon searching the serial # it came back with 0 prior scans and the product was stated to be from guitar center.
my question is in regards to the legitimacy of the product i acquired;

need i worry about these being fakes based on the information given?

is there any other ways to make sure that these are real? ( i have also sent in a support ticket to v-moda about whether or not they can confirm legitimacy but they do not have support hours on weekends.)

and yes i know i should just have gone with a legitimate retailer.

sidenote; i will say though the sound quality is above that of my previous earbuds (skull candy smokin' buds 2, wired), a lot of sharper sounds that went basically amiss before and less muddy though i was still expecting more. Comfort is far beyond that of any other headphone i have tried previously, i basically outlawed over-ear / on-ear headphones due to them being lacking in comfort turns out i just needed to spend more money.
(for reference my audio source is my laptop and phone (s6), i use the default windows 10 media player with flac audio files. i do plan to pick up a dac soon though, probably audioquest dragonfly)

i can supply more information and pictures upon request, thank you for reading.

Unless there is some other form of marking on the headphones, I don't know how the company can verify authenticity other than the serial number and/or closely inspecting them for fraudulent parts or design. Maybe you can send them some photos to review (?). Good luck!
