Well not exactly! He was wearing the ipod headphones in a thunderstorm.

The man's hearing has been significantly reduced. He has lost half of his hearing and can't hear high-frequency sounds even with hearing aids.

Wow! Reminds me to be careful not to wear IEM's when there is a thunderstorm outside.
