Hey guys, really hoping you can help, I’m totally stuck

I have one of the amazing looking Joey Roth Speaker/Subwoofer sets (incredible designs by the way, really amazing). It was shipped from the USA from an eBay seller (I’m in the UK). Everything is working great except the amp doesn’t seem to be powering the Sub....or something.
The Sub *does* seem to work when I output from the mini amp (for the speakers) to it, effectively making the Sub the second speaker (it seems pretty weak when I do this but definitely makes sound). So the sub isn’t broken, and the cables I think are ok.
The Speakers are plugged in via the sub amp, and there is of course power to the amp with a dim green light showing.
The unit isn’t in warranty or anything, I just don’t know where to turn to as it’s not the most widely sold device - I’m really hoping you can offer help! I'm happy to take apart the amp as it's relatively in it's construction, but at this point I wouldnt even know what to look for :s
