Hi everyone, i am thinking about using a JISBOS for the buffer stage in my preamp. Do you think it would be suitable for this application?

This is how i plan to wire it all up,

Input>>Alps50K>1ufFilmcaps>DRV134>>balancedout
......................................>JISBOS BUFFER>1uffilmcap>>SEOUT

Do you think this should fit the bill, for powering a few gainclones / mosfet amplifiers?

you plan to convert unbal sources to bal via the drv chip, then preamp that and then convert back DOWN to se again?

why not just stay se the whole way?

I asked this question a while ago (pimeta instead) and I'm quite happy using my 'mid fi' (sounds quite hi-fi to me) pimeta as the preamp stage to my final spkr amp (behringer a500). its dead quiet and clean as I'll ever need for speaker playback. its a small circuit, too, which is nice for integration inside boxes that don't have a lot of room

jisbos looks like a great circuit but as a preamp, I'm not sure its a 'hard' job and shouldn't need much more than a plain old opamp stage (not even sure a buffer stage is needed, really).

Thanks for the reply, there is probably a misunderstanding in my diagram. The signal travels thru the JISBOS or the DRV134 opamp, to enable se and balanced outputs simultaneously, i belive the drv134 opamp does not need to be fed by a buffered source. Take a look at it again.

InputSE>>Alps50K>1ufFilmcaps>DRV134>>balancedout
......................................OR>JISBOS BUFFER>1uffilmcap>>SEOUT
