Was planning to get JH 13 Pro and made an appointment with the ear mould specialist guy for next week. Then I stumbled around the web and discovered that there is this UE 18 Pro!

Also with 6 drivers each side. Anyone got an audition on it yet? Is it even better than JH13 Pro? Any suggestion is welcome.

Hey Shigzeo, how are you getting on with your ATH-CK100? I still love its sound very much and is my favourite IEM so far (among SE530, TF10 Pro, Westone 3 and ER4P). For all the non-customs I own, I like CK100 and ER4P most, followed by TF10 Pro. SE530 is a big no-no for me. Which do you think would suit me more, the UE18 Pro or JH 13/16 Pro?

sounds like you'd want the UE10 or something more neutral than the others

Sounds to me you are not a fan of UE much. The ER4P is bass light and you prefer it over the UE 10 Pro, maybe you prefer a less bassy sound? If tat's the case, the JH 13 or 16 would be best for you. We will have to wait and see how the 16 compares to the 13.

the JH-13 is still the most accurate out of all of them as far as i can tell from reading, the UE18 is more bass heavy, and the 16 has more impact(?) and weight to the bass than the 13 but still more accurate than the 18...though this is entirely based on what others have written, i have only heard the 13's, but i honestly dont see why they need more bass, they sound great, and go deep!

Remains to be seen I guess.
Then mix the JH16 Pro into this and it get even more complicated.

hillarious!! neither have hit anyone bar jude here yet and already there are comparison threads. someone has even asked shingzeo to choose between 2 IEMs he has not heard and make a recommendation. IMO anyone wanting something now should just bite the bullet and get the JH13. its a known quantity that is owned and loved by many headfiers.

according to jerry himself the JH16 is not an upgrade to the Jh13 (even though it has more drivers), with the JH13 being more neutral and Jude has confirmed the UE18 as being on the bottom heavy side as well.

if you are trying to buy the 'best' IEM and not prepared to just take a punt, JH13 is the only option as I see it. either that or getting one of the crazy 20 driver UM remolds (number exaggerated for effect) that takes a triple driver remold and somehow modifies the crossover and adds at least double the drivers LOL. the only thing I see adding more drivers to JH13 could possibly do is to increase headroom and i'm not finding JH13 to be particularly lacking in that area already personally.
