The Britney Spear's thread generated a lot of interesting discussions.

What do you guys think of J Lo? Personally, I dislike her music just a tad shy of how much I dislike Britney Spear's music.

Definetly hot... though I'm not much of a booty man myself... but still... To quote the great political philosopher Sir Mix-A-Lot: "Even white boys got to shout: Baby got back"

Musically I'd put her in the same general space as Britney. Her earlier cuts were better, more dance-electronic oriented. Definitely very well produced. One of the the really early tracks I actually rather enjoyed in a shallow way... Can't think of the title though. More recently, Britney has been better produced and had relatively fresher ideas.

That said, both are continual reminders that 90% of people who listen to music must not really LISTEN to it. Either that, or I have way too much faith in the collective taste of mankind

Well, I have her first album which is actually OK as far as I am concerned. The pictures in the cover are not very good though. IMO, on her more recent albums, the music has been getting progressively worse whereas the pictures in the cover has been getting progressively better

Playing the role of a singer in a movie and lipsynching the songs is probably not the best way to start a music career, but it worked for JLo! I don't dislike her music, but to me it is all pretty forgettable. The production is usually not as unique and fun as what Britney has had to work with, in my opinion. And obviously, there are much more dynamic singers in R&B than Lopez.

She's more tolerable IMO, her music and all. Kinda like Beyonce without the voice.

The size of her posterior is overrated. I never even noticed til people started referrring to it repeatedly. It' is nice, but I've seen much much better in person. I guess most guys are just used to seeing flat butts or something.

As for her music, I liked her first few songs. Don't keep up with the times, so I've no idea about her current/recent stuff.

Its not just the size Kirosia its the QUALITY. It sticks out, its round, its tight, its big. Ive seen some great ones, but she's up there.

still, I don't see the big deal. With all the comments people and the media make, I'd expect a genie come out if I rub it. Her butt's nothing special IMO. I've seen behinds that made me go "OOOOOOOHHH DAMN!". Hers didn't even catch my eye.

She's a better singer than she is an actor, and she absolutely sucks as a singer.

And, oh yeah, her looks are WAY overblown. Whoever her reps are are doing a great job of selling, they deserve raises abound.

Terrible actress.

Anyway, Jennifer Lopez has one thing that Britney Spears doesn't - dance technique. She has SLIGHTLY better dance skills than Britney Spears does, from my experience. And she's also quite a bit better-looking than Spears.

What exactly makes her a terrible actress? I saw her in Out of Sight with Clooney, and she certainly wasn't terrible in that.
