Does anyone know how to use the foam ear pieces? They don't compress to stick in your ear like others.

I suggest you leave the jbl foam ear peices alone. Just use the regular ones, they are better in every way

Can someone suggest me what type of sleeve or tip to use to enhance the performance of JBL 220?

actually I tried those foams, today.
with regular rubber tips, I was getting not much bass (even with the biggest one, but my ear canal isn't that big. I had no problem with mid size tip when I used ex series)
So I just tried foam tips by curiosity, yes it's huge.
but I just managed to insert it in my ear.

result, I'm getting boom bass that I missed from the beginning with JBL.
I thought 220 is kinda earbud lacking bass, but with these foams I changed my mind.
However, it's bit annoying to put in since it's huge.
I think I will get some foam tips from other manufacturers, like shure to keep enjoy this bass.

I use the medium rubber tip seems to work well for me.
