Japan earthquake and tsunami!

It's worst, a lot worst.  And no long term plan.

1. Water tanks storing radioactive water are leaking.
2. Is the containment vessel ruptured? Which units (1,2 & 3)?
3. Even today, 400 tons of water is used every day to cool the damaged reactors. That's a lot of radioactive water to be stored on top of what they have pumped since the earthquake.
4. The 3 damaged reactors are still not stable cooling wise.

Yup, we're only one more big earthquake and a bad fire away from an un-comprehendably bad disaster.

That being said, I'd be more worried about the large amount of plastic in our blood, the continent-sized garbage pile in the sea and China should take a good look at their own pollution before worrying about anyone else's, as it gets so bad it floats over Japan during the Spring making everyone sick.

[Rant]
This news of Tepco initially reporting only 100mSv/hr a week ago, only to turn around later today their meters could only reach a max of 100mSV is ridiculous, when in reality with "more sensitive equipment" it's reported to be more 1800mSv/hr! And today they've turned around and said its only beta rays which can't penetrate through clothing.

I don't like but can understand liars...but incompetent stupid liars shoulding such responsibility is really beyond me.

This reminded me of BP. Always hiding the truth.

In Japan, can TEPCO be sued like in the USA for damages to businesses? Ecosystem? It would be much much bigger than BP.
In the case of oil contaminating our oceans, natural release of oil into the oceans has gone on for millions of years. While there may be immediate damage based on quantity, nature has dealt with oil in our environment. This kind of radiation and it's quantity can't be broken back down into harmless components. Because of the lack of any accountability for this accident, I suspect there is no solution and therefore, no price of compensation for it's creators. It will be just another hot spot of danger for future civilizations to avoid when our cycle is done and the next one evolves to know it's hazard. The earth has a proven method of wiping evidence from existence in it's cycles of natural law. It's location at the edge of the pacific rim may well be taken into the earth for disposal. Time will reveal the truth.

  Let's check some numbers first

Do we actually have enough healthy athletes for the 2016 Summer Olympics, let alone 2020?

It's gonna be a tough questions - have you guys really considered working on your own "Plan B" and leave Tokyo when all hell breaks loose?

During the earthquake (which was close to all hell breaks loose), there seemed to have been quite a reasonable assistance from the embassy (and in some cases management of foreign corporations for their foreign employees) to vacate. The term "flyjin" was concocted then (aside: "gaijin" or more properly "gaikokujin" means foreigner).

However though "All hell breaks loose" probably needs a little more definition. We've seen earthquake, radiation, tsunami. As long as I've been here in Japan (13-14 yrs), there's been talk of Tokyo overdue for "the big one", not only that, but "Fuji is overdue to blow too" (It's still categorised as an active volcano). If Fuji blows, forget about planes flying :p.
