Hi all.

I just wanted to take a minute to recognize Jan Meier. I had an issue arise (I won't get into details, but this wasn't Jan's fault) and wasn't sure how or if it would be handled. Jan gave me several options to remedy the situation including one that was WAY above and beyond what I expected.

He has been patient, helpful, and very generous. I urge my fellow head-fiers to not hesitate to throw business his way.

If I was a columnist I would write about this. The title would be The Way a Business Should be Run

Thanks for listening and thanks Jan.

Yes I can agree. Probably the best customer service I've ever got.

Based on my experience I'd agree with the above. Jan is a pleasure to deal with.

Yes indeed, he's solid as a rock. I've only purchased an Oehlbach Senn replacement cable, but his service was excellent and impeccable. And his prices really quite kick butt, in my opinion.

I am perhaps one of the most demanding and picky customers out there but Jan has always provided me with his consistant and excellent service. If you've seen my e-mails to and from him, then you'll find his honesty and hard-work to be obvious.

I've bought cables, an amp and a headphone from him and my next (third) transaction with him will be dealing with a K1000.

I started my "what's all this business about amps" journey with Jan, and he's helped me not only there, but matching headphones as well. Since I started out, I've had great experiences with other businesses as well, but you can trust Jan's word and he'll never purposely lead you wrong... or unpurposely for that matter.

Oh yeah, and he builds great stuff, his Meier interconnects especially deserve more recognition than they get.

Dealing with Jan is a real personal pleasure but in addition to his most excellent business practices, Dr. Meier has shown time and time again his personal integrity. Aside from being a sponsor, how many amps has he already contributed to support Head-Fi (and also people in need, Katerina raffle being the latest one)?

Head-Fi probably wouldn't exist without contributing people like Jan and this is meant in a communal but also a very materialistic and pragmatic sense (since servers aren't for free).

Thanks Jan.

I never (till now) respond to these sort of threads but Jan was absolutely sensational to deal with here in Oz.

I am loving the Porta Corda and Beyer DT990 I ordered from him. All queries responded to promptly, and when the order was placed, I received the goods within one week. (PS For those thinking this is ordinary service, 1 week is the normal time one receives anything in rural Oz from anywhere else in Australia.

Another thumbs up for Jan

I haven't bought anything from him personally (apart from a porta corda group buy) but he's a true gent in every sense of the word.

Given that the raffle thread is stickied up there, I thought I would post here as well to express more thanks to Jan for the rough-hewn beauty that arrived today. The Prehead Prototype I won in the Katrina raffle Jan generously ran was in transit for 30 days through no fault of Jan's. While I sweated out the passing weeks, Jan has been a gentleman--as always seems to be the case--and he was very concerned when he learned that something might be amiss with the delivery. DHL/Deutsche Post effectively told me two days ago that the package he sent on October 4 left Germany on October 5 but was never "heard from" again. No scans, no information whatsoever from this side of the Atlantic. I let him know what I learned and Jan called to inquire yesterday. I think he must have kicked some serious Deutsche Post butt because it arrived today without further ado.

Coincidence? Who knows, but I am a happy camper. Thanks again Jan, and there is no question I will be a paying customer in the very near future.

I thought I'd chip in here too...

All of my emails to him have been answered politely and promptly and he seems to be a very genuinely nice guy.

His amps kick ass too
