Jack Hanna is this supposed animal specialist from a zoo in Florida, and has his own show on TV and has appeared many times on Letterman, Leno, etc. Every time I have seen him on a talk show he brings out a number of animals, and knows next to nothing about them. If he does not know the answer, often he will make something up. When called on it, he will say, "That's what they told me backstage!"

So. Here you are Jack, the "animal specialist", getting cliff notes from someone backstage and screwing even that up. How does this guy even still have a job? How can someone who knows so little about animals get his own show on TV about them?

It would be interesting to know how much he makes a year. I bet many would not be happy.

Still not nearly as much as TV anchors I'm sure.....who are more entertainers then journalists or reporters these days. Katie Couric makes way more in one year then Walter did his whole lifetime: 15 million a year. Seeing her interview people is embarrassing!

There are many incompetent TV "personalities" these days, but Hanna is the King. He brings befuddlement and public shame to almost Bushian levels.

He does come across as a real idiot.

Just a week or two ago his assistants would bring
animals out and he didn't even know what the animals were.

So true, I caught him on Larry King live a few times and he didn't know **** about half the animals that were brought out. I thought it might have been a misunderstanding or something at first, but now I now he's just too damn lazy to even do general research. Heck, some of the info was common knowledge and he still had trouble with it. Makes me really miss it when Steve Irwin was on T.V. He was a real expert and had a killer personality to boot...

I just registered on this sight to say, Jack Hanna is a screwing moron! I just watched his show for about 5 minuites and in that time he was destroying crab habitats and complaning about the wildlife. He said "I dont know about jobs but, Bla-Bla-Bla" This guy needs to be slaped in the face with a crap covered glove. Anyhow, I just wanted to say something about this jackass. Thanks.
