Recently, I've been reading whine post after whine post regarding certain aspects of this community. I've read things complaining about the "fairness" of the for-sale boards. I've read things complaining about threads getting shut down.

I'm sick of it!

The moderators choose what's right and what's wrong here. Let them do their jobs without being questioned! If there is some sort of SERIOUS breach that a moderator has performed (but with this staff, I find that highly unlikely) I am sure that a PM would be a much better solution than whining about it in public.

These forums are completely for free and are one of the very few locations online that can offer such a goldmine of information regarding the pastime of high-fidelity headphones and other audio products. You guys should be thankful that such a place exists with such a caring and professional staff of individuals who are merely offering their time to help make this place a great location for all.

Life is not fair - the moderators are only here to allow things which they can control to be controlled. There is no way in hell that anybody on this site will, or should be, moderating things such as the For Sale forums in such a way that they'd start disallowing the removal of prices from threads. That is plain ridiculous. People who are upset about such things should simply stop being brats and realize that there are other ways to gather the relative price of a used item.

Sorry, but it had to be said. People should stop complaining about things that are experienced every day in life, and start embracing what makes this place so wonderful.

That'll be all from me.

But this is also one form of complaining. Ironic isn't it ?

I don't think this is complaining at all. Instead, I call this public criticism. I am trying to invoke change, whereas the complainers have done nothing but selfishly criticized several aspects of this community.

By the way, I knew somebody was going to try (and fail) at being witty and post this. Good work.

There were only a few people complaining, what's the big deal, there are tons of new threads posted daily, if you don't like them, don't read them. What's so hard about that?

I still think people are entitled to complain, as long as it's done in civilized way. And with forum this big, you can't please everyone.

So what are you actually proposing? Prohibit complaining? Ban criticism?

I read that "for sale price" thread, and I think had the OP posted in a more polite way, I think people (or mods) would take it more seriously. I mean if you are not comfortable with people removing the price, then they can just make a thread, bring up your problem with it, and ask about it nicely. That is also one form of complaining but in a polite way.

Criticism sometimes is also good you know. As long as you know how to do it properly.

Honestly, the tone of your thread is not far from that for sale thread that you were complaining about. Relax man.

Ditto. There are those who will always whine about something because they simply like to complain, and there really isn't anything that can be done about it except to ignore it. Don't let it ruin your time here at Head-Fi.

I don't think he was specifically referring to this one instance of where that particular subject has been brought up. The very same thing has been hashed and re-hashed and if you search, you'll find a ton of threads on it. It hasn't changed up til now, and it's probably not gonna change from here on out.

I suppose he's considering it "whining" because if the OP'er of the other topic would have done a search they would have realized it was a worn out topic and it's something that wouldn't be changed, so why bring it up?

*NOTE* this is all what *I* think the OP'er of this thread meant, but I could be way off base. But I do agree with him and also agree with what Graz said.

After reading this post, I saw the light... I looked at the light really intensly. I then thouoght, AMAN IS RIGHT! What have I been doing all this time!

OKAY AMAN, fine, I give up.

I will never complain, ever again. I will crawl to the corner, suck my thumb and think happy happy thoughts. It is a priveledge to do so, not a right!

So why are we complaining about complaints?

Perhaps you should take your own advice to heart and simply not read the few posts that issue forth copious amounts of complaints.

We are hardly witnessing a complaint pandemic on head-fi and I don't think you can improve a forum without some criticism.

Note to self: Next time I wanna complain, make sure that I use the search button first and make sure that the whining is innovative, creative, and never been brought up before.

Actually, Aman just PM'd me, and I have to do it for you. Don't worry, I'll be gentle.
