"iTunes 8.2 now supports iPhone or iPod touch with the iPhone 3.0 Software Update. iTunes 8.2 also includes many accessibility improvements and bug fixes.

It includes some security fixes. You want to make sure that you at least update to QuickTime 7.6.2 (which I believe is included with iTunes 8.2).

Installed iTunes 8.2 and QuickTime 7.6.2 yesterday.
I don't notice any difference, but then again there don't seem to be any major changes beside support for iPhone OS 3.0 and some security fixes.

Cheers for the heads up!

Bought some registry cleaning software recently (don't say another word!
tongue.gif
) and it stripped my itunes of some stuff rendering it half useless........... but everytime I tried to reinstall itunes I just got a message saying I had the most up to date version.

8.2 is installing as I write

I installed 8.2 yesterday without regret. Basically no changes for me.
