The type of music I listen to is bass music with clear vocals. for example:

I also want to use them to watch movies.

My price limit is up to $2000 for my high end pair. (includes headphone and dac/amp)

Hi depending on where you are going to listen to these and how much sound you will allow to leak my suggestion is to get Audeze LCD2 ($995) paired with a Schiit Lyr ($449) and Bifrost ($449 with USB $349 without).  If you are looking for base it does not get much better than that.

From what I believe, you do not need $2 000 for this...

Not to mention that isn't programmed with a lot of instruments that need a lot of separation, air and detail; or a large and/or accurate soundstage. For female vocals but not necessarily a lot of bass I've liked the AT A700 Art Monitors before; not sure if the bass improves with proper amps (matched output impedance, more transparent, more power); when I listened extensively to one all I had was a Creative Zen 30gb HDD.
