Alll right, till saturday, I'm on my dad's dialup, so I'll be sparing but meaningful, hopefully, with my posts.
First off - I want a plaque! That would be wonderfully interesting - a plaque dedicating the server upgrades to me - on some random page on head-fi - so very cool indeed, it would be.
Jazz?
The Blues and the Abstract Truth is my newest non-Coltrane jazz album of choice. I also picked up the new deluxe release of A Love Supreme, and the live performance of ALS that is included on disc two is pretty cool, I think. Really loose. Less restrained, less meditative, but just as emotional, in my opinion. Coltrane's soloing seems a bit less inspired, but Elvin Jones plays better I think, and Garrison's bass work is solid as usual. The surprise is McCoy Tyner, who plays extremely well.
I'll post more later - I think my dad needs to make a phone call (the sadness behind dialup, indeed).
