So i have been hanging around here for a few months trying to get a handle on headamps, both portable and home, and am still no closer to thinking ive found what i need. Granted, at the end of the day i will most probably end up with two with dedicated purposes, but for now i just want one.

Uses: I won't be using it everyday for general commuting too and from uni i don't think. Do to being on a campus i only have to walk for max 15min to get anywhere. However, when i go on 'longer' trips it will of course come with me. Apart from that it will be used at home, either off my iPod clasic or MBP.

Amps considered:

iBasso D1 (Bit big, not sure id fully use all features)
C&C Box+ (Very simple, but not sure about SQ
Little Dot Micro MK1
Total Bit Head (Maybe a little much for what it is, but unsure about SQ, and looks aren't great)
Mini Box E (Actually, i hate the volume control)

Of course there are new amps coming out, like the HeadSix (think its a bit to much for my budget for what it is) and the iQube which is yet to be released. And will have to see what it offers for the price.

Basically my budget fluctuates somewhat depending on features offered etc.

At the moment i am using UE Super.fi. 5Pros and Senn e350's. The senn's are cheap, and will be upgraded to a better model or some Grado's. Thus i am also confused as to what am will be best in the long term. I.E. do i need certain gain controls to satisfy all headphones?

Any help you guys can offer would be great.

Cheers.

Mr. Arroyo, would you have a direct link to the MiniBox-E sir?

It and the Mini^3 you keep posting as good inexpensive amps so I need to once again look the MiniBox-E over. THX
