Hey everyone, I recently purchased the iBasso IT03s but unfortunately even after 125 hours (as of now) of burning them in the treble is a bit much for my treble sensitive ears, and the mild U-shape isn't on par with my tastes, so I need a suggestion on where to go from here. I do love the soundstage, bass extension, and energy in the IT03s though.
As you can see in the title I have a few options on where to go from here. I can either get a copper litz or balanced cables for the IT03s, or sell them and get a new pair of IEMs. I've heard that changing the cable can help soften the treble and bring out the mids, but I'm not sure how significant of an effect this would be. Would it be enough to fulfill my tastes of lush vocals and attenuate the ear pain?
If not, then I'd be interested in one of the three IEMs in the title (Massdrop x Noble X, Westone W20, or the FiiO FH5) but I'm not sure which one would be the best for my signature preference. I listen to a wide variety of genres, and I enjoy a spacious soundstage, lush vocals, and warmth with clarity in the highs. Basically I'm looking for something like the IT03s but with more mids, and less treble.
