It was my fault. I was setting the Shanling PH100 up wrong.

I was under the impression I could plug the shanling into my integrated amp and listen to different sources through the headphones. The only way I can get it to work is direct from the cd. Im really disappointed as I waited over a week for this to arrive and just went half way across London to fetch it from post office.

It should work if the amplifier has a line out. There's often a tape output or similar that you could use. Sometimes you have indicate with a separat selector what source you would like to redirect to the tape out.

This doesn't sound like a problem with the Shanling unit since it seems to work if you use the line out from the CD-player.

Ok, I was too quick to panic. It wouldn't work even in the tape out until I switched the integrated amp off. Then I could select the source from the integrated and it worked. Now even when I turn the integrated amp on it works but I have to have the master volume on 0 on the integrated obviously. Panic over. I just had such **** with parcelforce I was in too much of a hurry.
Thanks for advice bjorn.

I used to have a PH100. Really nice little amp. My only beef with it was lack of soundstage. It was a good partner with my K701s since with their expansive soundstage, the Shanling only reduced it a bit. It had plenty of juice to drive them nicely. It should be a good match with your 601s.
