I think it's time to lock all the archived sales threads in all the sales forums. Lock them from posting not reading. I know they make a decent reference and nostalgic read, but there are many people posting in threads that are over a year old and even as long ago as 5 years or more. There is a post in the archived threads almost daily. If not more. It's useless and silly. Plus it does a disservice to some that might be looking for a particular item. We are encouraged to close our current sales threads after the transaction is closed. Plus, in the extremely unlikelihood that a three year old ad is still valid or open, that poster can simply make a new much more current ad.


I say the archived sales/trade threads should be locked. Can anyone think of a logical reason not to have them locked?
