I'm glad that my wife is a lot smarter and more reasonable than I am.She is standing over my shoulder now and just prevented me from making a really nasty post. She reminded me of something that happened a while back and jarred me back to sanity.

I frequently posted to a Buell motorcycle forum and as expected got into a few heated debates over stuff like loud exhaust pipes, which I really hate and think ruins the reputation of all real motorcyclists. There was a guy who made a bunch of really terrible posts and was a true antagonist. He stirred a lot of **** and he and I were probably the worst of cyber-enemies.I hated this guy and was sure that if I ever met him I was gonna arrange a face to face meeting between him and God.This was much worse than anything you guys have read here.Well, while on vacation in Oregon and Washington I bumped into two riders enjoying the beautiful twisty roads and waterfalls along the Columbia River gorge.I met up with them at one of the falls and struck up a conversation.I didn't take long for us to find that we had a lot in common and arrange to meet later for drinks.when we met later on we talked about all sorts of things and became friends of sorts. When he told me he was a member of the the same club and posted to forums I was suprised, when he told me his screen name,I was just floored. This couldn't be the same guy. When I told who I was we both sat in silence for about a minute........... and then burst into laughter. His buddy didn't get it at first and I don't think he ever did, but the moment was priceless. What is the likelyhood of a guy from Chicago meeting a guy from Florida in Oregon and finding out they are cyber-haters?I felt really stupid after this and so did my friend. We email every week or so and though he no longer rides a Buell we still have lots in common.I still have a lot to learn and I'll take my beatings when I have them coming. This my public promise to play nice from now on.

Freaky story.

Not a big fan of loud exhausts either - not on Honda Civics at least.

But have you ever heard a straight-piped, no cats, Ferrari 360 Challenge track car at 6000-8500rpm. Heaven on four wheels, and way better than anything an Orpheus can reproduce.
