Be afraid, be very afraid. One of my amps is now actually presentable. I just don't know what came over me.

I case you are worrying that this act will anger the gods or is a sign of the end, I sacrificed a router as I was finishing this case. This is why it doesn't have a top yet, as the wood I have is half-rounded. When a 25k RPM router slows to where you can see it turn and smoke starts to pour out, its a bag thing. I was worried that my dad would be mad, but true to guy tradition he is using this as an excuse to buy a new plunge router. I guess at 15yrs old it was just the router's time....

Watch out for airborn pork.

CaptBubba,

Is this your own design, or one based on a current one? The woodworking is fabulous. I can't wait to see what it looks like once you're finished and have it all assembled.

Seems like your dad is pretty cool. He lets you use his stuff, and then has the excuse to upgrade it when it breaks. Let him use your cans, and when they break have him upgrade them to some Stax.

Yes, good eyes. I had a few sitting around connected to useless stuff. The entire arcilite frame can be removed, hence the plugs.

My dad knows that I don't mistreat the tools, so if it broke while I was using it odds are it just broke. I looked into the motor ans apparently two of the fan blades broke off and went through the motor, screwing things up as they went.

I am planning however, to experiment with a little bit of wood inlay on the top. Nothing fancy, just to look good.
