Bass is not as fast as the SG-03 but your getting a higher end sound on the H40 overall especially for mids and treble as it should as it has dedicated BAs for the regions. Better layering, better stage, instrument separation, better treble extension. I do like the timbre on the SG-03.

If you want an upgrade on the SG-03 you need to get a better cable for it otherwise if you have doubts about the H40 don't bother.

Another option if you like that energetic bassy type sound signature of the SG-03 is the Rose QT9-Mk2. https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/rose-qt-9-mk2.25044/

H40 is a completely different type of sound altogether but that might be a good thing if you want some variety and no the H40 is not gonna be like your experience with the BGVP NS9. There are way too many owners of the H40. Look up some youtube video reviews of the H40 might give you a better idea of how they sound.

I like that cable you posted there I own a set myself but SG-03 benefits from some silver for enhanced detail I really like this particular cable

Maybe you sent a Penon product again for a reason 😁😁
But seriously this is only a silver plated copper cable like the yy 7N, not mixed silver and copper. Right ?

Actually I ended up buying that one as I was curious about the Rose QT9-MK2 as I have never heard a Rose earphone before.. It has a similar sound signature to the SG-03 but is a hybrid.

It is a silver plated copper cable but a real good one for the price. It matches well with a lot of my earphones.

TWS EST50. This is how you go for them walks. Excellent pairing to make the EST50 wireless. This is a new item from NiceHCK and comes with all the popular connector types including QDC for protruding 2 pin designs which you can switch the arms out on the fly. This pairing is ideal since the EST50s have decent passive isolation with that excellent bass and the HB2 here takes care of the wireless duties. Thing costs $80 not the cheapest TWS adapter but has Bluetooth 5.2 and the newest Qualcomm chip. Sounds fantastic with the EST50 like it was made for it.
