Did someone get a chance to compare the H40 with
- Kinera Idun
- Mee Audio Pinnacle P1

Thanks :)

I have the MeeDrop Px which is the Drop version. Same earphone different finish on the housing. And I have heard a few Kinera phones.

P1 has been outdone by new phones and if your looking for thinner sounding neutralish phones the H40 is not that. H40 has fullness of note the P1 is lacking in. I like the P1 but squeezing any real bass out of those is a chore. Takes a special tip and a special cable. You don't have to worry about actual bass on the H40. Think grander warmer smoother sound with just a wide a stage as the P1 maybe a bit wider actually.

As per Kinera. They tune kinda weird. There style of tuning is a bit strange to me. Kinera earphones have an issue with coherency and proper balancing. usually ends up with too much of one side of treble and not enough mid section with a big bass at the end of it. Again coherency issues. I haven't heard a Kinera phone that is actually really good to be completely honest.

H40 is different than the phones you mentioned. If you want to try something completely new. Give the H40 a try. It will introduce dynamism that your not getting in the 2 earphones you mentioned. Worth giving a go.

Is the ISN H40 vented? I saw a review that mentioned some driver flex, which usually occurs in iems that are unvented

H40 is vented but yes a lot of users are experiencing driver flex, me also especially if i insert them quickly without opening my mouth

Is anyone else using the Ikko I-planet's? They seem like good tips, but they don't stay on the nozzle, I just had to fetch one out of my ear with a tweezer. So much for those, at least I'll have them for another iem down the road, lol.

"Fits 4.5mm to 5.5mm"
I don't know how much bigger are eartips for iems, but you can try using sewing thread (or something like that) around nozzle for better grip.

Better than ISN S8 Stock cable?

The stock cable I got is 4.4 that's why I don't use it on the go. but I just tested it right now after you asked. To my surprise, the 3.5 Audiosense cable sounds much better actually. S8 cable sounds like it has a veil on it.

The 3.5 cable is only $17.90.

What a surprise.Going to look into an Audiosense 4.4 cable of the same build as that 3.5.

Is anyone else having the phasing out issue on h40?
Sometimes it just randomly start phasing out on both sides regardless of what cable i plug in. At fisrt i thought the cable started failing but is seems to happen with all i connect. I have tried my other iems with two pins just in case its my source. But it seems fine.
Later i plugged back original cable in and it seems fine.

Is that something inherent to mmcx connectors? I really did not have many iems with them prior to h40.
