Is this the same as an X-Fi Music?

Hmmm, I don't know. Seems a little, well, weird. That's not an Extreme Music, and some of the specs, the board layout doesn't match any of the retail X-Fis, and the specs they list don't match, like the 2MB of X-ram, the retail X-Fis have 64MB or 0MB, no inbetween, and the X-Fi isn't AC97 based.

Now that doesn't mean that Creative didn't make some different X-Fis only for systems integrators and such, but Id' be a little sceptical.

Model SB0670 (as it says on description) is not listed on Creative Product database and the driver link given points to HP support pages.

X-Fi Card on eBay

It's from the current series, since there is this heatsink added for DSP. Cheap (plastic) jacks and some connectors moved.

So it seem to be an OEM (so it may be quite modified --> 2MB X-Ram added) version of X-Fi card ripped from some HP Pavilion d4296.se Desktop PC.

TooNice: If you can get it for cheap (< 80 Euro), I'd say go for it. That obviously is an oem version customized for some system builder, as it lacks the internal connectors for a drive bay module. If you really need optical and coax/electrical spdif i/o, you can still get the digital i/o module for the flexijack, anyway (it's ~ 30 Euro over here). Nice heatsink on the X-Fi dsp, btw.

Oh, and those 2 MByte ram are perfectly normal for the XtremeMusic and Platinum. So that's no extra.

Greetings from Hannover!
