I'm a bit paranoic recently, i already have some tinnitus (due to all the concerts in the past) and i'm worried about the volume of the music... so i was going to buy an SPL online,
http://cgi.ebay.it/SOUND-LEVEL-METER-50-126-DB-NOISE-DECEBEL-NEW-633937-/280464706103?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item414cffca37

May i trust it (the spl, not the shop XD)?

Thanks.

Due the fact that i live in italy, i can't get one from usa (duties ecc).

I use these for gigs now

They work very well and are far cheaper than a meter, that just tells you what you know to be too loud, is.

I wasn't looking for something to wear on gigs (thanks anyway ^^, i'm already using some plugs) but something to determine how many db came out from my headphones. Right now i'm on 7/50 on a cowon d2+ with an open headphone (reverse modded ms1i) xD
