is this DTS/AC3 dac worth modding?

I considered going this route, but decided the cost was too high at the time (for me), using a C7 or Geode or something. It was what I intended to do with the AVR32 NGW kit, which is actually a pretty good deal for around $100, but lacks a floating-point unit which is a real problem since the only decoder code I could find for AC3 or DTS is FP. It runs about 1/4 realtime IIRC, so it's probably fast enough if I could find integer code...

Now with Atom so cheap though that might be a good option too, wouldn't be hard to rig up and you could probably do a totally configurable mixdown in the box too.
