I'll be using it to build 2 crossovers for a pair of Adire Audio HE12.1 speakers. This a good pecil iron for the job. The crossovers have about 12 parts each. I don't have much soldering experience (only thing I've soldered are thick wires to a D cell for my RC car. The solder was sloppy). I plan to pratice on some cheep resistors an a RC PC board, that sound like a good idea? Also, anyone have a recomendation for the proper tips and solder I should use?

I understand it's good on shirts but can be rather rough on pants!

You might want to spell out soldering iron instead of saying just iron when you're in the company of wise acres...

O, well those wise acres will know what I mean. I mean, it is the DIY forum.
