I have 5 disk version I got about 10 days ago when the price dropped. Yes, it is a good deal since for example 5 disk version is 80 bucks (CDN) more than their plain 5 disk CD player. I posted my impression of its insides in another thread. It's a pretty decent and upgradeable unit for the price. I would imagine 1 disk unit has the same electronics but I don't know.
