Hi

I just sold off hd650 and Xcan V3 but before that i had listened to it for the last time compared with GS-1. Somehow hd650 and Xcan pairing is on par with HD650 driven by GS-1 but for akg k701, GS1 is simply better. I don't miss HD650 at all despite all the love for it.

Yes, the synergy is quite good. I liked it alot too when I tried the combo.

I can exactly understand what you mean. I have a fully modded X-CAN with PSU and a GS-1 and while the 650 is very very good out of the GS-1 it's just magical out of the X-CAN to me. The K701 on the other side is way (!) better out of the GS-1 compared to the MF. Even the HeadFive is a better pairing with the AKG compared to the X-CAN.
But as I love my Senns the X-CAN will stay but I'm really happy to have a good alternative with the GS-1->K701 system. Keeps the fun alive.

OT: Can GS1 drive GS1000 well? Thinking of using the Xcan sale cash to get GS1000.

Not currently directed to this thread, but i find it hard to let go off an amp wich sound better with a little portion of my headphones, that's why i got too many headphones related stuff right now, it's so hard to let it go
