I posted a slightly different version of this question in the gaming forum--hope that's okay?

I have a pair of Sony bluetooth headphones that I really want to use with my Soundblaster Z sound card and its surround sound mode. But as I am just starting to understand--they are not compatible. Someone told me I could use an inline Bluetooth adapter but I can't find a clear definition of what that is ...

Any help with this subject will be greatly appreciated!

Hook this up to the SBZ FL-FR output jack (green) and just run all settings on the SBZ as you normally would. Then pair your BT headphones with it.

I see no reason why it can't. Just make sure the BT protocols are the same version as your headphone's.

Alternately you can invest a bit more in the BT transmitter and find one with SPDIF Optical input, and use it with the optical output of the SBZ. This way the ADC quality of the BT transmitter wouldn't really matter at all since it will all be digital all the way through to your headphone.
