I currently use my 595's with my X-Meridian Soundcard which sounds great with my mp3's out my PC but sometimes I feel there may be something missing.

I've always been tempted to invest in some sr60's but the price in the UK has put me off $130 or I could get some iGrados for $70. Thats one of the reasons I originally bought the 595's as the price/performance was much better.

I sometimes feel things could be a bit more exciting and lively with my rock/electronica music using the 595's.

Would investing in some sr60's be considered downgrading? I'm worried I won't like the treble. Maybe the iGrado is less of a risk but very close to the SR60 sound? Or maybe I should stop coming here and enjoy the 595's!

I think you should try the sr225s directly because even though you might like the grado sound, the sr60s lack of refinement coming from the 595s will get you tired of how fake the instruments sound with the sr60s pretty fast
