Is there any reason to pick 10ft cable vs 6ft for SQ ?

There would be a distinguishable difference if the cable was around 200 feet long or so (I'm not sure of the cable length for audio, but Ethernet), I believe it would depend on the audio, and of course the ears :p
4 feet will make no difference.

It is a drag if you're using it for portable use, but maybe not as bad as I thought... Would work out in the long run; home use, etc.

Actually, with low-level signals and applications, you can run out to about 50 ft. without a significant loss in signal output or quality.
