Is there any noticeable SQ difference?

I tend to rip at either 192 or 256 onto my Kenwood 10GB7, which I only use in the office or on the train and with d-jays.

Cheers

Depends what you mean with "WMP" and "others"?
With "WMP" you mean WMA files encoded to 192 or 256kbps with WIndows Media Player, right? In that case the most well known lossy encoders/codecs out there are comparable on the same bitrate. Being MP3 (LAME), AAC (iTunes, Nero, ...) and Ogg Vorbis.

Then there are always lossless codecs, which outperform every lossy codec.

I find a question like this is best answered by yourself since it is easy to do. I'm not trying to say your question is trite but you'll typically get a divided response which won't really help you. Since this is an easy test you can do for yourself, give it a try. If you don't hear a difference then use whatever you prefer.
