Somebody told me good earphones should not be closed-type since closed-type earphones can't get good sound field.
I doubt that...

My opinion, not that bad, not like "they can't get good sound field", they can get good sound field but in general, not as good as open ones.

Yeah, open design phones just have that sense of "airyness" or a more fit word "openness". To me it gives the sound a more "live" feel than a "confined, claustrophobic" feel. And I think the open design helps with the soundstage...at least with the full cans that I have listened to anyway.

Open design headphones have a more expansive sound stage at the expense of noise isolation.
