Is Meier Corda Move a good match for RS-1?

I am getting some RS-1s and need an amp. I like the look of the Meier Corda Move and wonder if it would be compatible. Sorry for starting a new thread on this amp but I asked the question in the Meier Corda Move thread and no-one responded.

As the Move is quite new I would guess that only a few people here have it, and I don't know if any of the people that do have it also have the RS1s.

But I am curious as well as I have a small itch to get a portable amp and I would like it to mate well with my RS1 to be able to use the usbdac fed by my computer. So... bump! As far as I'm concerned pure speculations are welcome as well!

My Move is somewhere between Germany and New Zealand at the moment, should be here next week but to be fair I would like to give it some burn in time before commenting.
The answer to your question may be a few weeks away yet.

After quick comparisons I can say that RS-1/Corda Move would be a good combination. It really sounds good - of course not good as with bigger stationary amps, but on the other hand it's really portable.

So portable/SQ wise: thumbs up

If powering by USB alone, you use 5v vs 9v battery (really 10v and 18v since an internal circuit doubles the power). If you have no problem driving the headphones with another portable amp via battery I wouldn't expect it to be different. It won't be as powerful as the battery since voltage determines amp output of the opamp so keep that in mind. External power is the way to go if you don't mind lugging that wall wart while travelling.

Probably not a whole lot of help, but I'm enjoying my SR80s a whole lot more with my Move than I did with my GoVibe V5. The Move has a lot of punch--maybe even more than my Opera, though it's not as smooth.

I've been using my RS1s with the Move for the last few days and feel they work just fine together.
Bear in mind that I feel the RS1s are the most source dependent phones I own, more so than the W5000s, so if you're using a bright sounding source or music the Move wont hide that.

With male vocals(Kurt Wagner/Lambchop) the pairing is very good, nice warmth to the vocals, good instrument seperation and reproduction.
There is a very slight harshness or grain to the higher registers with brass instruments but nothing offensive.

With female vocals(kd Land) the music is well presented, nice midrange and good bass but again some of the higher notes are not as smooth or clear as you would hope. Now this may be present in the recording in which case the amp is only showing what's there. I'll have to try some more music before making final judgement.

I'm using the amp in low gain mode, crossfeed on and with a 12VDC power supply. A good volume level for me is around 11 oclock.

Depending on your source and the type of music preffered, the RS1/Move combo could be a very satisfying one. Of course it doesn't match the Grado/Mapletree setup by neither would I expect it too given price and design differences.
