I'll be gaming and listening to epic music(ex. two steps from hell). The 681's will cost me $46 with shipping and such since I am in Canada.
Is it worth to upgrade Sony MDR-XD100 to Superlux HD 681?

I don't think the HD681 is a good choice for two steps from hell since their music has a lot of low end. The Koss DJ100 or Creative Aurvana Live would be a better choice(and slightly more expensive).

Dude.... ANYTHING will be better than those horrible sonys... I Recommend Anything over those,(even Apple ear buds
) i haven't heard that song, but if its bassy or somewhat heavy, or metal sounding, than using those sonys is like Self-Torture... As far as i Remember, those superflux's are open headphones, they may lack the BASS that you may or may not want, i personally do not like crazy bass, but defined powerful ear vibrating bass. hope this helps, i can give you WAY more recommendations if you tell us more info.
