I reiterate, is it possible for a cable to be evil?
Larry (of woody CD3000 and Headphile fame) once sold me the XRS cables and I swear it is evil. Very evil. I've been using it between my DSD system and my infamous phillyaudio amp for the last couple of months and I cannot take it out of my system. I was listening to Eric Clapton's Layla on CD and it was the gratingest version of any guitar based number I've ever heard. It had such a raw primal sound which is in such contrast to the usual silky smooth sound I heard both in my system before these cables as well as in the NYC meet. I've heard unrfined cables before, but this isn;t a lack of refinement, it's more like raw wild grace. I have a simpler solution. Larry is obviously the devil and he has infected me with these cables and now I can't change. It's so bad I don't even want to be saved. Lan and immtbiker both managed to escape the clutches of this cable, I wasn't so lucky. Well, at least I'm enjoying my fate.
