hello everyone, i 'had' a monster beats studio ,i really loved the bass and listening to music on my apple iphone 4 was fun but now i have a SONY XPERIA Z ULTRA  and recently i bought SONY MDR XB900 but i hardly use those headsets because its isn't loud enough (may be because the output from my phone is low) and the bass also sucks. The bass and loudness on the XB900 improves a lil when i connect it to my laptop but its not all that great :( :(

Should i buy a portable amp, if ya then which one ? ( i was thinking about buying fiiio E07 andes or the fiio E11)  will the amp help me increase the loudness and the bass,if ya will it be better than that of beats studio ?

OR

should i buy another pair of beats studio ?

really have no idea what to do ..pls help

Can you get a proper line put from the Sony? If no, I would say it's not worth amping from the phones headphone output. Maybe get a Clip?

Hello,

I am not sure about the sensitivity of the XB900 but the E11 is a standalone amp while the E07K have a built into DAC which is of good quality but the amp section is rather weak compared to E11. I suggest you to get the E07K for your laptop and not sure about your smartphone...

As a side note, the Beats Audio boost purely the sub bass and push the mids all the way down... anything will be a huge improvement other than stock built into stuff
