I am comparing westone w30 to the old version. I have already read a crazy amount of post comparing the two. My understanding is the new version fixed the bass issue and is simply improved in most areas. So this is great news...Is the sound quality improvement really worth $180?? I previously owned the westone 3 and absolutely adored them so im very curious.
My example for value: Old W3 vs SE215. 2 or 3 years ago there was almost a 200 dollar difference between the two. Owning both at one point gives me the experience to know that particular upgrade is worth every cent of a $200 difference. I know the W3 doesn't compete with the se215 but the difference in sound is sooo worth the money.
So is the new W30 really worth $180 over old W3? Is it as dramatic as the example I provided?
