i have portable amp which is mainly designed for er4p e5c or hd555, dt860 etc, i want to use it on DT770 32ohm version.

i don't know whether it's enough or not? this amp can be only found in my country but it's just somewhat like Storm B4 or Supermacro3(or micro?)

i just don't know DT770 32ohm is easy to drive like DT850 or HD595?
i listen to classical symphonies, that means i need it was really driven well, at least it's require more output than pop songs.

i am a non english native speaker, so excuse about my poor english, thanks all~

Sorry to piggy back on the thread, but I have the same question for the DT770-80 ohm version. I was thinking about getting a Practical Devices XM4, as then it could use it for portable applications as well.

i can't try it myself, because there is no 32ohm version sale here, i can only order it through the agent and wait for 1 month for the arrival, once ordered, i have no chance to regret...

if it's as easy to drive as DT860 or HD595, or even K271, my amp could be capable.

From time to time I have run both 80 ohm and also 32 ohm Darthbeyers from Xin Supermacro LE - it drives them beautifully (also had a Portaphile maxxed that I ran from Elpac, and it also did very nicely by them............but there are also a lot of cheaper amps that really do not do well by them at all.

Voltage = Current X Resistance
Find the voltage supplied by your mp3 player or whatever, to find the current (ohms is resistance). I don't know, find out how loud x amperes (current) translates into x decibels or something.
High school level explanation, possibly flawed.
