Is a DAP audibly better (v.s. a Samsung phone) for easily-driven IEMs?

Is it worth buying a DAP, if the following are true?

1) I'm using modded JVC HA-FD01 IEMs (similar to the new Drop JVC HA-FDX1 IEMs).
2) I like my IEM's neutral signature and don't need to apply any EQ.
3) I'm listening on a Samsung Galaxy S7 phone, which easily drives these IEMs.
4) My phone battery lasts all day (even when streaming for hours).
5) I can hear between about 15 Hz and 16.5 kHz.
6) I can't distinguish between Google Play Music's "highest quality" lossy streaming and Tidal's MQA lossless streaming.

Given these realities (especially #6), is there any point in my purchasing a DAP?

Probably not. However, my number one reason to opt for dedicated DAP over phone is the ability to listen to music without annoying notifications interrupting the listening experience. Sure I could go through the rigmarole of disabling phone stuff and such but why?, I still need the phone stuff.
