Once again I have a question. I want to know if the iMP-550 comes with both 110V and 220V plugs ?. I want to get one of these units soon, and I've been unable to find one here in Spain.

We use 220V here and I wanted to know if it was safe to buy the unit from a US vendor. I think I read somewhere that the unit comes packaged with a 110V to 4.5DC adaptor and then some sort of plug convertor for use in 220V countries.

Please if someone knows, specially current iMP-550 owners.

Thanks in advance.

hi okinawa_joe, the 550 comes with "universal" adaptor, which means u can use the adaptor anywhere in the world... the adaptor accepts 110-220VAC... so no worry...

[so]hai® you completely sure about that ? The only thing I'll need would be a plug converter and that's it ?

Anyone else to confirm this, I just don't wanna make the mistake of buying something that won't work here.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot, that clears it up. Then I guess it's shopping time, I'll come back with some sort of pictorial review.

Thanks again.

Regards,

Using a plug adaptor isn't the same thing as changing the voltage. The power adaptor is designed for use between 100 and 240V which pretty much covers everything. But, it's a North American plug only. Any plug adaptor from any travel store will do to fix that.

But, this method won't work if you want to use your hair dryer abroad. If you just use a plug-adaptor - well, good luck.
