I just listened to the iriver imp-550 and was blown away by the sound and output power--man that is the loudest output power I have ever heard from an mp3-cd player--incredible sound-i turned it all the way up with absolutely no distortion. Here's the catch though, I do not like not having controls on the player itself, and always using the remote, and it is pricey. I am looking at the imp-50 and imp-150. Do they have the same sound quality and output power as the imp-550?

The IMP-150/50 have half of the output power of the 550...

Quality should be the same...
But be forewarned. The reverse CD loading system does not make it any smaller (as one would imagine)
They are actually quite big.. unfortunatly... But they'll suffice. Nice price as well.

Power output is listed on site. They do have about half teh power output... but really.. 7 mW should be good enough to drive most mid fi phones.
