Quotes from different visitors of the Head-Fi meet in Chapel Hill NC:

“The iQube was very impressive and a real winner for me. Its imaging astonished me and the sound was not boring neutral, but nothing was even close to overbearing. Nothing there to complain about, its sound was great, bass was tight, the amount of detail for its size was unheard of for me.”
"The iQube, though, made my jaw DROP. Paired with my Monica 2, I was absolutely floored by the iQube, especially while playing a lossless copy of the Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack. I may be trying to get a hold of one of these (and a cable upgrade) when finances allow for another upgrade".

Silver Dragon Portable Mini Cable

The Silver Dragon has been designed to be as fast and detailed as possible with a lots of spacial presentation. It is not an overly forward sounding cable, but very clean and precise. It improves the sound stage and instrument seperation. It is to be used with Lossless or Wav Audio digital formats. The Silver Dragon is from our reference line of cables and will transmit the signal to your portable amp in the highest quality possible.

By going with an LOD cable vs a mini to mini from your iPods headphone jack, you bypass the iPods internal amp so you can get a true line out signal for your portable amp such as the iQube. Lets face it while the iPod is a wonderful piece of technology the built in headphone amp is less than ideal from a sound quality stand point. The LOD cable will help you get the best out of your portable rig.

This is the new Version 2 Silver Dragon min cable for linking IPods and other portable devices to Headphone amps etc..
The cable uses a 4 x 99.99% pure silver 24AWG Teflon insulated stranded conductors.
Each conductor is made up of a special varying size stranding geometry. The silver stranding is mixed with Kevlar stranding to reinforce the conductor. Making it stronger overall and less prone to failure due to the harsh constant flexing a headphone cable receives.
The conductors are then surrounded by cotton and then a layer of Teflon tape.
The new version is now also shielded and placed in a polyethylene jacket for further protection.
The Version 2 is quieter than the Version 1 with no micro phonics.
The wire is soldered to a connectors with Cardas silver solder. The wire is then covered in 1 layers of Techflex braid.
